About Copperiper Bagpipes
Bill Tighe started playing the practice chanter in 1998 and the bagpipes in 1999 with the Columbia & District Pipe Band in Hudson, NY. That band merged with the Capital Region Pipe Band where Bill competed at Grade 5 in the Eastern U.S. Pipe Band Association. In 2003, Bill joined the Ancient Order of Hibernians Ulster Co. Pipe and Drum Band.
Since the beginning, Bill has performed professionally at countless weddings, funerals, birthday parties, memorials, parades, BBQs and many, many, many, many, many, many (you get the idea) gatherings at bars and pubs. Bill has been featured in print and online in several local newspapers and was interviewed during a special on RNN news channel.
